The behavior is consistent with the documentation : Searching in messages | BlueMind doc
However, this behavior may be different in the old and new webmail. I’ll check if our new behavior is normal or if we missed something.

but when we have 3 -4 share boxes, we have to go through each shared mailbox…
you’d have to search all visible mailboxes … That would be more practical … wouldn’t it?

I noticed also some Problem ( Search in new webmail not working in single folder and global ) starting with Version 5.1.0. Same in version 5.1.1.
Strange thing:
This search problem exists only for my personal account with role System manager and only if I use the new webmail.
All other users can search without any problems.
If I take away role “System manager” from my account, search works as expected.
Until version 5.0.9 (5.0.7611) old AND new webmail search worked for me with role “System manager” as well in new and old webmail.
OK, the fact, that in version 5.1+ this behavior changed is not really a problem but took some time to find out. I would say this is no bug, it is a feature
I can live with it.
