Hourly backup

Hello, I have a question you might be able to shed some light on:

I notice that there is an hourly backup done by bluemind, by the directory

root@bluemind-02:/var/backups/bluemind/dp_spool/rsync/10.42.0.42/mail/imap# ls -lsat
total 3528
 4 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 20 09:00 4376
20 drwxr-xr-x 878 root root 20480 Jan 20 09:00 .

 4 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Dec 14 16:00 1

Can I turn this off? I have a retention policy of 1 day in the backup&restore policy. Also, should this really be hourly, can I set it to daily instead??

Kind Regards,

Please create a ticket if you want a quick answer for the BlueMind support (or R&D) Team.

Hi,

This is a bug in 3.5.2 release when the backup task is configured automatically, this will be fixed in 3.5.3,
You can force a daily backup in the configuration

This will be fixed with next BlueMind version.
This bug is only if your backup task is set to automatic run.

For now, you can fix backup execution date from administration console, logged with admin0. Go to System managementPlanning, then click on DataProtect and go to Scheduling tab to set fixed execution time.

In any case, it’s better to set a fix time to this task, in automatic mode, it’s run 24h after BlueMind start. If it starts at 10PM, backup run next day at 10PM.
It’s better to set backup task to run at fixed time, when server is less used.

Thank you for your response. It works much better now.
