Kind Regards,

Hi, the uninstall option has been removed, we will update the log, is you are using a VM, the easiest way is to reset it. If not you can drop the database and remove /var/spool/bluemind-pkgs and /etc/bm folders

Thanks!

It would be good if you update the documentation as well, thanks for your support.

Hello,

I

  • dropped the database bj
  • rm -rf /var/spool/bluemind-pkgs/
  • rm -rf /etc/bm*

and get this result:

Ok, some packages haven’t been removed sucessfully (bm-eas{u} bm-hps{u} bm-ips{u} bm-lmtpd{u} bm-locator{u}
bm-mq{u} bm-tika{u} bm-xmpp{u} ) du to uninstall order.
bm-jdk has not been installed correctly after that.
The easiest way is to use a snapshot before installing BlueMind, uninstalling isn’t an officially supported operation.
If you can’t, be sure that all BM packages are correctly removed before remove the installer again

OK I see.

Well on the other hand, I performed an upgrade from 3.5.0 to 3.5.1 using the procedure described “aptitude upgrade”, no errors, and then the GUI/setup/ page told me that “Upgrade is not possible, need to install setupwizard”, and a “forcereinstall” button. I clicked it and typed Yes I agree, after which there was no activity on the server. Then I tried the uninstall option, which is not supported.

So then; if the minor upgrade cannot be done successfully, a force-reinstall does not work, would an uninstall option not be a logical thing to attempt?

Just my $0.02…

Ok, I see, do you have a subscription ? Did you check the documentation before updating https://forge.bluemind.net/confluence/x/XwUyAQ ?
You need a subscrpition to access to the on-click updater, accessing the /setup page without it only allow you to reinstall BM by erasing the server configuration, mail and users.
The problem here seems to be that the reinstall option didn’t work, do you still have the log (/var/log/bm/core.log) at that time ?

Yes I have the subscription file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bm.list, which is the file I was sent by bluemind. I connected to gui/setup page with the admin password.

The other problem is that the update subscription button did not work - I get the message below and this in my nginx logfile:

message: {{{Invalid subscription - error during update - Not supported operation }}}

nginx:

Looks like a php-fpm proble but when I turn loglevel to debug in /etc/bm-php/fpm/bm-php-fpm.conf I don’t get more details on the operation…

I don’t have the core.log anymore, rebuilt the VM.

STill stuck with the same problem, though - I cannot upload the subscription file using the GUI. http POST not a success. WHich is weird given that I can attach large files with the bluemind web gui which also uses the post file upload mechanism.

Any thoughts?

Do you have the bm-plugin-core-subscription package installed ?
There is several packages to install before being apble to update, check : https://forge.bluemind.net/confluence/x/WgUyAQ

Yes thank you this resolved the issue of the subscription. I appreciate your feedback.
